Headquartered in Santa Monica, California, Fastener.io was founded in 2013 by Jay Westlin.  Prior to Fastener.io, Westlin was evp corporate & business development of SpinMedia (fka BUZZMEDIA) where he helped grow its publishing group to more than 40 properties reaching over 100MM unique visitors.  Before joining SpinMedia, Westlin was vp business development & marketing of AtomicOnline (GorillaNation’s owned and operated division), now called EvolveMedia. Westlin began his digital publishing career in the mid-90's forming high-profile partnerships with companies including Compuserve and Mark Cuban’s AudioNet (aka Broadcast.com and later as Yahoo! Broadcast Solutions).
