The IAB just now released an overview on in-image advertising, what they call, a “burgeoning” market.  Luminate was founded in 2008, so the report feels a bit late.  Regardless, I get why it matters now – publisher CPMs are compressing, native is hot, viewability is a priority, brand safety is a must, and high CTR is the Holy Grail.  Below is The Bible:
