Read this story (http://digiday.com/publishers/shady-mobile-app-install-ads/) yesterday and didn’t think much of it.  Last night wanted to watch a movie on my phone and Googled “best movies on Netflix streaming” and found a Complex article (among others) recommending a bunch of movies I hadn’t seen.  Great!  Then launched my Flixter app (which is basically Rotten Tomatoes) to see the scores on a handful of movies. Yup, without clicking anything, I got stuck in this endless cycle of being directly sent to the iOS App Store for War of Nations (GREE, Inc.).  Literally couldn’t get to a movie review after a bunch of tries.  Then quickly tried to watch a trailer which triggered an Ad Colony takeover ad for the Hay Day app (which probably was the intended action) but before that ad could finish (or I could see the trailer) found myself in the store staring at the War of Nations free game download, again. FWIW… I intentionally didn’t download the game (though I unintentionally fell asleep to a movie).  Eh.
