I have three kids ages 9, 11 and 14 — all very special and talented and could very well find themselves excelling in areas ranging from musical theater and law to economics and literature. I certainly don’t want to push them away from their dreams, but hardly a day goes by that I don’t try to hammer it home they cannot overlook computer science and should think about universities well equipped for entrepreneurs in tech. The writing is on the wall IMO… be a technical ceo, so I am hoping they listen to me on this front better than they do when I urge them to put their dishes in the sink. Regardless, I am happy to find this article by Howard Marks, co-chair of Start Engine (LA-based accelerator), in Pando. Will send it to those little rascals now… :) http://pandodaily.com/2013/09/28/is-your-school-underrated-for-tech-entrepreneurship/
