I subscribe to Wired Magazine and like the print version for when my electronic devices need to be stowed and my tray table needs to be in its upright/locked position. But I never use the digital version. I agree with the article’s comments regarding digital magazines not being able to be shared nor indexed by Google. But also, I just feel like digital content needs to be dynamically updated instead of wrapped up in a static container, and also, needs to be a section of the magazine brand’s website (which I am probably already visiting) and not stuck inside the Newstand app. The only thing I miss about the magazine is the “cover” – the carefully designed, high profile photo with clever titles and captions in custom fonts.
